Power Plant Heat Exchangers for Auxiliary Cooling
JEDHeatExchanger is a custom manufacturer of heat exchangers for auxiliary cooling systems in power-generation equipment.
Equipment is manufactured from approved drawings and project data for new installations and replacement requirements.
Cooling Applications in Power Generation
Our coolers and heat exchangers can be manufactured for the following auxiliary cooling applications.
Turbine Lubrication Oil Cooling
Custom coolers for turbine lubrication systems, manufactured according to the required cooling duty, oil data, cooling conditions, pressure, and available installation space.
Generator Bearing Oil Cooling
Bearing oil coolers for generator lubrication systems, with mounting details, connection positions, operating conditions, and testing requirements confirmed for each project.
Guide and Thrust Bearing Oil Cooling
Custom cooling units for guide and thrust bearing oil systems in hydroelectric generating equipment, manufactured according to the approved configuration and installation requirements.
Auxiliary Oil, Water and Glycol Circuits
Shell and tube or air-cooled units for auxiliary fluid circuits. The configuration is reviewed according to the media, temperatures, pressure, cooling source, ambient conditions, and available space.
Heat Exchangers and Coolers We Supply
The suitable cooler type depends on the working media, cooling source, heat load, pressure, installation arrangement, and project specifications.
Engineering Review Before Manufacturing
JED engineers work with the customer’s engineering team to confirm the design basis before production.
- Define the Starting Point: Review the available drawing, technical specification, existing unit information, or operating data.
- Confirm the Cooling Requirements: Check the working media, cooling duty, flow rates, inlet and outlet temperatures, and operating pressures.
- Review the Product Configuration: Confirm the heat exchanger type, materials, connections, installation space, and applicable inspection requirements.
- Approve the Manufacturing Documents: Production begins after the required technical details and manufacturing drawings have been reviewed and approved.
Project-specific drawings and application details are handled according to agreed confidentiality requirements.
Support for New Equipment and Replacement Units
JEDHeatExchanger supports both project-built equipment and replacement coolers. The information required for review depends on whether the unit is being manufactured for a new system or fitted into an existing installation.
For New Equipment, please provide the available:
- Preliminary or approved drawing
- Required cooling duty
- Working and cooling media
- Flow rates
- Inlet and outlet temperatures
- Working and design pressures
- Required materials
- Connection and mounting details
- Installation space
- Applicable code and inspection requirements
- Required certificates and project documents
For Replacement Units, please provide the available:

FAQ
Yes. The existing installation envelope, mounting points, and connection positions can be used as design constraints. These dimensions must be measured and confirmed before the replacement drawing is approved.
A material change may be possible, but it must be reviewed against the working media, temperatures, pressures, water quality, corrosion conditions, and manufacturing requirements. The approved material will be shown in the final project documents.
Please provide the water source and available analysis, especially chloride or salinity levels, hardness, suspended solids, operating temperature, and water-treatment conditions. These factors can affect the selection of wetted materials.
Yes, subject to technical review. Required inspection stages, reports, certificates, witness points, and third-party inspection should be defined before the order so they can be included in the production plan.
Customer drawings, equipment details, and application information are handled according to the agreed confidentiality requirements. Project-specific documents or images are not published without authorization.
